Audit Report for a Post Office

An audit of a post office tells you 1) which mailboxes require and which mailboxes require limited client licenses, and 2)  which mailboxes are active (have been accessed at least one time), which ones have never been active, and which ones have been inactive for a specified period of time.

To run an audit report:

  1. In the Database Type box, select Post Office.

  2. Browse to and select the post office directory.

The post office must be running at least a GroupWise 6 POA in order for you to generate an audit report.

  3. Specify the post office name.

  4. In the Object Type box, select Post Office.

  5. From the Action menu, select Audit Report.

  6. If you want to flag mailboxes that have been inactive for a period of time, select the desired number of days in the Show Accounts without Activity for Previous xx Days list.

The default (60 days) causes GroupWise® Check to flag all mailboxes that have not had any activity within the last 60 days.

  7. Use the following tab options as needed:

  1. Click Run to create the audit report for the specified post office.

If you perform this action frequently, you can save your selected options and retrieve them the next time you perform this action. You can also create a batch file to run this action for you. For more information, see About GroupWise Check.
