About GroupWise Mailbox Maintenance

Periodic mailbox maintenance keeps GroupWise® running smoothly. In addition, mailbox maintenance is occasionally  required to resolve a problem with a mailbox or other GroupWise database.

Repair Mailbox

GroupWise Windows* client users can perform the following mailbox maintenance actions using the Repair Mailbox feature:

• Analyze/Fix Databases

• Structural Rebuild

The mailbox maintenance actions are performed on the mailbox to which the user is currently connected, such as the Caching mailbox, the Remote mailbox, or the Archive.

GroupWise Check

GroupWise administrators can perform many additional types of mailbox and database maintenance tasks using GroupWise Check on the databases located in each post office.
