When do we begin to discuss the Civil war and not all the critique of the author/directors?? by Karen Jenkins - Saturday, January 26, 2013, 1:16 PM Hi, I have to say I really like this class. But I am curious to know when are we going to get past the critiquing of wether or not the book and video is historically factual and of a good source? We have spent the last three weeks not really discussing the actual Civil War and its history and we have spent to much time in my opinion on wether the authors or director of the film and book are of a viable source. I am interested to know this.. I enjoy getting more into the FACTS and the actual war it self and not spending all my forums discussions on wether it is historical or not. I am sure if it werent a viable source we wouldnt be in this class. Just an opinion and viable question I thought i would ask??? Karen Jenkins the making of the civil war video..in detail is amazing by Karen Jenkins - Saturday, January 12, 2013, 8:19 PM Hey fellow classmates: I would like to ask what you think of the details that went into the making of the civil war video by Mr. Burns. It is fascinating to see actual tin pictures and footage from that era. The factual information and details are absoulutely fascinating to me. I am enjoying the details of the book readings also, as I have never read a textbook like a story book like this book reads. It seems to paint a picture of the battle field and the people associated with the era and military like none other. It almost puts you there. I love reading it and watching the videos.. Karen Jenkins
