Joe does a great job relating present day events and ideas to the past (history). This makes learning both enjoyable and beneficial. Tests are hard and challenging, but also give you a sense of accomplishment if you succeed.	Definitely a new book! That's about it.
I liked being able to take the tests outside of class on a day of our choice. Also, the instructors knowledge and enthusiasm of the subject helped to make it interesting.	A study sheet of terms before each test.
Videos made the class more interesting. Instructor's enthusiasm to teach subject.	Chance to make up a test if necessary.
The instructor is very informative and the lectures were very interesting. Good content and learned alot. The films were also good, helped to understand more.	The tests were pretty hard. Althought the computer tests did help, the tests were a little too hard and alot of it had to do with the wording of the questions.
The pace. Joe was able to keep us on task without making us feel rushed.	A more detailed book. The test was too generalized and comprehensive. The teacher can fill in the rest. First history course that I've had in a while that kept my attention all the way through.
Kept on schedule. Joe used good examples and you can see his interest in the subject. It kept me interested.	Study guides for the test could be very helpful.
Instructor's spectrum method is helpful in understanding where events, people, politics, etc. fit in ideology. Escobar's humor is appreciated.
The in depth coverage of material and the fact that we had computer quizzes to help us prepare for exams.	More class discussion would be nice rather than just consistent fast-paced lectures.
Time of day - not too early in the am. Escobar was always available, wanted to learn about WWI and WWII and I feel I got what I needed out of it. Also, if you couldn't make the am class you could do the pm class as well.	More time on subjects, maybe not as wide of time spectrum to cover.
The instructor was very interesting to listen to. Good lectures.	Not so long tests.

The variety of media used to teach the course. I enjoyed the instructor's methods. He's a good teacher. Obviously he wants to impart understanding to students.	Have opportunity for extra credit. Use study guides which highlight vocabulary terms used in the text that may be unfamiliar in the context used. Maps in the study guide or on the web would be beneficial. Great job Joe - you deserve a raise!
Joe encourages his students to use what is offered to them. His effort to get students on the internet. He make you work for your grade and your education. I like that!!	Joe made it very clear to his students that he will help whoever, practically whenever. All you needed as the student was to dedicate yourself. If someone had a problem with this class it is because they did not get their act together not Joe Escobar. An improvement would be to give more insight into how he lectures and the note taking possibilities. He needed to explain the different chalk theme better and to also explain the importance of the videos, how they play a consistent role in the exams. Other than that, no surprises and an excellent teacher nod goes to Joe. Thanks
I liked how structured the class was and I also liked the fact that the teacher used the 90 minutes so well. I also was impressed by the teacher's efforts to help students.	Perhaps it would be interesting to hear a guest speaker on a subject of the course.
Escobar is very enthusiastic about the material and he goes out of his way to help those who ask, and makes every effort to help students succeed. (study guides, practice quizzes, newsgroup, listserv, etc.)
I enjoy Mr. Escobar's enthusiasm, great love for history. I like how he connects it with the present to make it more real. His lectures are very good. Helps make sense out of a confusing chapter. (all are)	I suppose his tests are meaty, but on that subject, I need to improve. However, the faint wish they were not so difficult.
I liked the teachers methods of teaching, his humor, and his determination to make sure to prepare his students for his tests.	I did not like the videos. Quite often, I could barely understand the people speaking. The teacher does have hard tests, but he prepares youfor these tests effectively. His set up via the web is the most effective helping material I have ever had.
It was very informative, well taught. I learned alot and he made it interesting.	No - improvements already made!

The teacher is enthusiastic and well-prepared for the class. The lecture is clear and with detailed information.	Provide lecture outline for each class so that I know what is the scope of material covered. The videos make the class more interesting, but sometimes, the video is too long, so it makes me fall asleep. Please talk slower.
Complete knowledge by Escobar. He did let his own political opinions be known, but only to the point where it was helpful in learning.	Having only 3 tests and no other grade not only feels like "general" learning, but makes it hard to filter information and recycle and reuse it.
Mr. Escobar did a good job of integrating the text with his lectures. I had Teacher X last term and was thoroughly confused.

I've always enjoyed history and our past.	More discussion between teacher and students. Too much emphasis on the three tests and no homework or other type of point earning work.
