Joe is an excellent teacher, very informative and as un-biased as one can be. If I decide to take another history class I will try to make sure it is one that Joe is teaching. | 1 | I have never liked History. For some reason this class this term was very intersting to me and I like how Joe linked present day "history" with our nations foundations. I also like how he talked about bias and didnt nessesarily force his opinion on us! |
| 1 | I learned a lot about the history of the U.S. Joe was very thorough in his job of teaching us the material and he is very knowledgeable. I enjoyed the class very much. If my major hadn't required so many prerequisites, I would've liked to go on to History 202 with Joe as the instructor. |

| 1 | I liked that the instructor use powerpoints to show the notes. This is really helpful in the fact that we don't have to try to read his handwriting and it makes it very clear. Also, while he is talking about the specific powerpoint, we are given time to write down the notes we want to take from that powerpoint page. Another thing I liked about the class was that on the weekly quizzes we only had to get 50% on a quiz to get full credit. I really liked this because of this I did chose to take the quiz many times, so I could get an idea of all the questions. |

| 1 | I really enjoyed this class. It was my first time taking a hybrid course and I found it a little difficult to always remember date/time deadlines but in the future I know now to always be on top of those deadlines. All in all, this was a great class. |

| 1 | Joe made the class really interesting and really motivated me to get interested in history. Also he made sure that we always knew what was going on and made sure that we didn't miss any assignments or online due dates. Honestly one of the best teachers I have ever had in college so far. |

| 1 | The class has so much information in such little time. There's no way that people can comprehend evrything said continuously in a one and a half hour class period. It's so fast pased that you can hardly begin to think about what your writing....you just have to write....and write....and write. |

| 1 | Well, I enjoy learning about history, so I would say that I enjoyed that aspect of it. |
| 1 | What i liked about the class were the online quizzes and forums. The quizzes help me a lot, because questions on the mid-term and final are taken from the quizzes and by simply taking the quiz you are boosting your grade. |

| 1 | I do not believe this course could have been taught or overseen any better. As college students we should be expected to be held accountable for the things that we were assigned such as online quizzes, tests in the the social science lab, and posting on the class forums. |
| 1 | I don't know how this happened, but a few of the forums actually generated good responses from the class. Look though the forums and try to figure out what the element was that inspired students to really participate. |

| 1 | I had a hard time in the second weeks forum. I did everything I had done to get a one hundred percent in the first week, but i think the second weeks was slightly more vague? So i think that those could be improved a little bit. :) |

| 1 | I have never taken a history class I have enjoyed, before this one. For me, the teaching style and assignments helped me learn and retain information on US history. The only thing I would have improved on is the way the scheduling worked out, since we missed two classes. I know this is out of the instructors control, but it is something I would have changed. |

| 1 | Make all Forum deadlines the same, instead of some ending sunday, monday, or friday... they should all end on the same day of the week, at the same time, this casued me mnuch confusion and difficulty, as I work full time after school, and could not meet some of the deadlines due to work, and their odd schedule of ending times. |
| 1 | Make the class helpful for everyone with different learning ways. not a lot of people can hear it once or even three times and remember it. make the class time more available for the students to interact and share learnings and ideas. the forums dont help any because we dont know each other. possibly break this class up. talking to a few people, we agree that theres plainly just TOO much for one class term. create class time that the students can talk and ask questions to the instructor. we barely ever say anything to one another. its always joe talking. not everyone is a history buff. a lot of us didnt learn any of this from high school. if anything, a prerequisite class should be taken before a student can take this class because not knowing exactly how much is jammed into this class until you get in is unreasonable. especially taking into consideration how hard it is to register for classes. |

| 1 | Nothing! The class was great. Everything about the class, from the in class lectures to the forums to the quizzes and exams, was very beneficial in my learning process. |

| 1 | Sometimes I did not have enough time to copy down all the notes from the overhead, before we were moving onto the next slide. I found myself falling behind on notes when I was trying to take the time to process what was being said. |

| 1 | The only thing that I wish was done in this class was study groups with other students during personal time. I felt like I didn't really get to know anyone in the class and I would have liked to because I find that study groups and being able to discuss topics with other students face to face is very helpful. The forums definitely were a big help but next time around I would like to get together a study group to further my understanding on topics. |
| 1 | The teacher stressed that we understand biased literature and teaching. After he stressed that point, he then went on to say that he would do his best to be unbiased. To say that he even attempted to be unbiased would be a stretch. On a daily bases it seemed that he went out of his way to influence our thoughts about current political topics. |
