Meredith is deserving of the Faculty Recognition Award, not only because of her dedication to her own students, but also her tireless efforts in support of Lane faculty in their use of educational technology.

Since earning a permanent position as faculty webmaster and media arts instructor at LCC in 2004, Meredith has expended far more than .5 FTE of her workload helping colleagues with technological innovations for their courses and students.  With her help, faculty have learned how to create webpages for their courses using Dreamweaver and Easy Website software.  She has been not only a Moodle workshop trainer, but has made herself available to faculty long after the workshops were over, often providing help to those instructors on weekends and evenings.  She has maintained the teach.lanecc.edu website as a resource for instructors who need answers, information on workshops, and even popular software downloads for faculty who need unique tools.  Meredith is responsible for researching and bringing the innovative SoftChalk software to campus and is the serves as the point person for help with this resource.  By instructing faculty on the use of multimedia hardware and software tools in the ATC, she helps instructors add multimedia elements to their classes in the forms of streaming video and audio.  Her selfless involvement on educational technology-related committees at Lane, in addition to her faculty webmaster support duties is commendable.   She does all of these things in addition to running quality classes for her students.

As stated before, Meredith's dedication to her own classes is without question, and she does not hesitate in putting other work on hold as she truly puts her own "students first".  But when she is done with her own classes, the grading, and her office hours, Meredith puts the needs of her fellow faculty "first".  Lane is so very lucky to have such a dedicated resource, and wonderful individual, as Meredith Keene-Wilson.
