No large outcry, because most faculty already had email
Working on faculty support piece to handle new volume

Info in portal was already on the website, but not organized well.
We can "send people to one place" to get the right answer
(is this organization worth the cost)

Timed out after 2 hours.  Not connected all day.  Default is 30 minutes.
They have not yet put secure services behind this login, so will not increase the timeout session.
Luminus 3.3 has a role-based timeout, more time for faculty, less for students

Panther help - 3rd party solution purchased
PCC corner works off a spreadsheet.
Most work needs to be done on info "behind" the portal

Continual updating
Who is responsible?  Cafeteria food menu
Concept of custodians for each channel.
Busy Financial Aid people can't keep up with the data revision themselves.

What steered away - amount of development time
We wanted a quick speedy adoption/rapid deployment
We are doing quite a bit of development ourselves now, though
Homegrown solution too daunting

Can course calendars be integrated into Luminus calendars - not directly
Does graduation link show on non-graduate Luminus portal? - yes? (ouch)

Faculty committee not doing much... being reorganized
Student group is doing the most

Faculty required to use Luminus for classes, syllabi, tests?  No
Students are beginning to ask for the tools to be "turned on"

PCC is running on HP UX
