Hello presenters,
Thank you all for sticking to our deadlines. On August 31, the
master inservice calendar, which will be postal mailed to all LCC
employees) goes to print. It is imperative that if you see a
mistake in your presentation dates, times, or rooms, that you email me

I am very happy to announce that we have 23 (yes, twenty-three) UNIQUE
workshops, given during 55 (yes, fifty-five) presentations over 3
inservice days. LCC staff sure will have many choices this
year. Broken down by "level", there are:
12 beginner/general interest workshops
7 intermediate workshops
4 advanced workshops
Now, we are on to our next task.
As you prepare your written materials for your audience, I would like
for you to plan for UP TO 4 (four) pages. The uniform handout
will be an 11x17" paper, folded in half, like a short booklet.
This will allow you to include ALOT of information which attendees can
take with them. You might also think of leaving some space/lines
at the end so they can take notes during your presentation.
Most workshops should have a handout for attendees which lists
important information, such as your contact information, workshop
description paragraph, web addresses where they can go to learn more,
etc. I also encourage you to provide graphics of important
screenshots of the software/information you are presenting. I
WILL HELP EACH OF YOU with getting screen shots, coordinating, and
producing this work. I will also take care of
printing/copying. After inservice, "extra" paper copies will have
a cool, brochure-like, display rack home in a central tech location for
all LCC staff, especially those who may miss your presentation during
Inservice Week.
Let's shoot for Friday, September 3rd, for completion of our handout
