I hope you don't mind the generic email.  I did a large number of WebCT to Moodle course conversions this evening and wanted to get back to you right away.

You should all have accounts on the REAL (not practice) Moodle server.  Login information is located below.

Some of you may have experimented on the practice Moodle server sometime in the last two years.  Many of you have already signed up for a WebCT to Moodle workshop with me this week.  If you have done neither, I hesitate to have you take a look at your converted course(s) before we get a chance to meet.   I know that each of you will give me a fair opportunity to explain what has happened during the conversion.

I am finding that proficient WebCT users need only 30 minutes with me to get them going with Moodle as quickly as possible.  Moodle's help manual is integrated into the program.  Simply click the little yellow (or blue) "question mark ? circles" next to items you'd like help with.  Other help is also available from links at:

My suggestion is to login, choose one of your courses to work with, and finally, click TURN EDITING ON to work on your course.

Click the class SETTINGS link in your Administrative block.  I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that of the three choices available, "topics", "weekly", and "social", that you use the WEEKLY format for your class.  Enter a start date for the term, select 10 or 11 weeks (11 with final exam week), and save your changes.   The major portion of your "work" in Moodle will then be to move or create each of your class items within the proper week.

Unless you've changed it, your password is probably your first name, all lower case.
