I believe that there might be some misunderstanding with the faculty webmaster involvement in the proposed ePortfolio project for SLI.  Sonya simply asked that all of us talk about what you and Mary were wanting to do.  As educational technology experts (if there really is such a thing), the faculty webmasters would be happy to sit down and talk about the possibilities.  

In order to do this well, we must first learn more about the details of your project.   

Your email implies that perhaps you want to replicate what PSU has done.  Is this true?

You mention a student server.  Lane currently does not have one and this would entail some costs.  Administration of a student web server is another issue altogether.  Faculty webmasters would not do that work, and historically, the IT department has never done that either.

Finally, doesn't this project have to be completed by the end of Spring Term 2006, according to the SLI guidelines?

So much to talk about.  Why don't you suggest a couple days and times that would work with you and Mary?
