Visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) at http://www.cdc.gov/. Choose one of the currently featured articles or from the “A-Z Index,” and write a short report about your findings.

Go to the World Health Organization (WHO) site at http://www.who.int/, and click on “Health Topics.” Scroll down to “H,” and click on “Hepatitis.” Then, under “Related Links,” click on “Hepatitis.” Finally, under Key Documents, click on “Hepatitis B.” Write a summary about hepatitis B, including prevention techniques and the implications for health care workers.

Visit the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) site at http://www.cdc.gov/. Click on “About CDC.” Scroll down the page, and under CDC Organizations, click on “National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health.” Next, choose “Health Care Workers” on the Workplace Safety and Health Topics dropdown menu.  Read the introductory paragraph, then click Bloodborne Infectious Diseases HIV, AIDS, Hepatitis B Virus, and Hepatitis C Virus (Topic Page), then search links under Preventing Needlesticks and Sharps Injuries.
