Go to the HealthProfessions.com site at http://www.healthprofessions.com/, and click on “Choose Your Profession.” Select a profession in which you have an interest, and write a summary that includes the job description, educational requirements, and salary.

Go to Mind Tools at http://www.mindtools.com/, and click on the “Problem Solving” tab. How do the listed steps compare to the material presented in the 5-Step Problem-Solving Model presented in your text?

Go to the Virtual Salt site at http://www.virtualsalt.com/, and read the “Problem Solving Techniques” article by Dr. Robert Harris. (From the home page, scroll down to “Tools for the Age of Knowledge” and click on “Problem Solving Techniques.”) Focus on the section called “Assumption Articulation.” List the categories of factors to consider when examining your own assumptions.
