Viewing Global Statistics

In addition to the logs, WebBoard has an internal statistics generator to give you information on your site. You can find out such things as the operating system on the computer running WebBoard, the number of users on the site, the number of mailing lists and newsgroups, the number of new messages, and more. In addition to general site information, there are statistics on mailing lists and newsgroups, which tell you the number and percentage of posts that come via NNTP or email.

To view site-wide statistics, follow these steps:

  1. Log in as the WebBoard administrator.
  2. Click More from the menubar. The More Options menu appears.
  3. Click the Administrator link from this menu. The Administrator menu appears.
  4. Click Statistics. You see the WebBoard Statistics page, with the General Statistics, which are the site statistics, at the top.
  5. To view statistics on mailing lists or newsgroups, click a link at the top of the page. These statistics are for the current board only.

Viewing Board Statistics

WebBoard has an internal statistics generator to give board managers information on posts to the board via NNTP newsreader and email. You can find out the number and percentage of posts that come via NNTP or email to the board. To view board statistics, follow these steps:
  1. Log in as the board manager.
  2. Click More from the menubar. The More Options menu appears.
  3. Click the Manager link from this menu. The Manager menu appears.
  4. Click Statistics. A page with statistics on mailing lists and newsgroups appears.
