The integration of Chat with WebBoard means that chat channels (also called rooms) are automatically registered when you create them for any WebBoard conference. It also means that WebBoard administrators, board managers, and conference moderators are automatically assigned channel operator status for conferences (or boards, or sites) under their respective control. WebBoard and Chat are designed to work together, which means you have few worries about setting up or managing the Chat server.

Although Chat requires little or no management, you have the option of using various management tools to configure and administer the chat server. For example, you can permanently register channels, permanently register nicknames, and set up profanity filters.

Should you want or need to change the server’s basic configuration, you can do so using the web-based administration tools available on the chat client toolbar.
