Chat Settings
Chat is primarily textual communication between two or more users on a real-time,
interactive basis. Think of it as the Internet version of a party, or maybe an
old-fashioned party line for telephones. Participants meet in a chat room and carry
on typed conversations between or among themselves. You can also allow user
paging, where a user can send short messages to other users logged on to the
board. Paging is available only on boards that require authentication.
Chat is built into WebBoard. You can make chat available
— or no chat at all — on a board-by-board basis.
To enable paging, leave the Allow paging box checked (default). When paging is
allowed, a Page button appears in the menu bar of the board. Paging does
not work on boards with no authentication.
