Did you ever find someone to work with on the assignments? I'd not mind working with someone else, particularly if you're interested in solutions to the problems which involve looking ahead a bit in the book sometimes. For example, I'm looking at the layout techniques found in chapter 9 to make 7.10 work the way I want it to.

Actually, I'd like to offer that invitation to everyone. The assignments we've had so far have not exactly been complex as far as figuring out how to get from the problem to the solution. What's hard sometimes is getting Java to cooperate with whatever solution we come up with - something that simply takes experience. Experience that perhaps most of us do not have yet.

Still, you can get that experience just as easily with a more complex solution to a simple problem, and it will make the complex solutions to the complex problems when we near the end of the term easier and, I hope, make the assignments between now and then a little more fun.
