3 statements that cant all be true:
1)God is omnipotent
2)God is good
3) There is evil
-If god is omnipotent he could prevent evil.
-If he is good he would want to prevent evil.
-If these are true why is there evil?

Evil:
Moral evil- Evil caused by personal agents.
Natural evil- Earthquakes, natural disasters, food chain, disease, etc...

1)Process theology- God is not omnipotent.
2)Eastern religion, christian science, gnosticism- all deny god is good- he is either good and evil or beyond both.

Theodicy- an attempt to solve the problem of evil w/o denying one of the three statements.
1)Free will theodicy- god could have created world w/o free will.
2)Spiritual development theodicy.
3)Human ignorance theodicy (job).
