Utilitarianism-power of numbers-only the consequences matter.
Utilitarianism theory of value-Hedonism-only pleasure is intrinsicaly valuable.
Consequentialism-the right act is that which produces the best consequences for the whole world not just for you.
murder, torture, lying, stealing, ect. . .are morally OK if they maximize happiness (utility).
objections to Utilitarianism:
1)too permissive.condones intuitively immoral acts.

bad side effects are only measurable if you get caught.
*intrinsic good:is good in itself.
extrinsic good:is good for what it produces.
