Last night when I was falling asleep I was thinking
about Paley's watch and Hume's vegetable
objection to the Design argument.

I saw in my mind a drawer full of pocket watches
... and a mouse crawling around amongst them. It
would be sort of the opposite of finding a watch
out in the wilderness. Would it then be obvious
that the mouse wasn't created by someone? What
if it was a female mouse and she had her nest of
babies in there? Obviously watches don't come
from Mama & Papa watches; they need a
watchmaker. Mice have parents instead.
