The bible was pieced together by man. To believe Gods wrath must be stronger then his compassion, would be a judgement based on limited information. At the time the bible was coming into existence the preaching of eternal damnation was high. To keep the masses under control fear was the driving force. If they feared God's wrath they would better serve him. Those beliefs reflect in what was chosen to go into the bible. The bible is only a limited account of all God has said and his influence on this planet. Monks are daily translating writings of God to this day. The bible is not Gods only word, it is the chosen sentiment to convey at the time of the bibles birth. If we were to write another bible with the same information to choose from what goes in what stays out. What do you think would be the reigning sentiment of God now?
