Along these lines....
A poem, by a local poet.
God In a Box
God in a box
ship it out around the world
one size fits all
sell it like fast food, like politics
white flour spirituality
fills you up, but still leaves you empty
fits easily on a shelf
stores well
easy to find and easy
to put away
god in a box
neat and predictable
answers none of the mysteries
rebukes inquiry
condemns change
God in a box
needs boxed-up people
who fit in orderly pews side by side
to nod with a boxed-in sermon
Not my god
God in the trees, in a smile, in well made food
god in your kisses and love's declaration
Not my god
god in a box
