I both agree and disagree :>

First, I think it's darn important if we can discover
whether or not a god exists (and if one/some do/
es, what s/he/it/they is like) -- the answer dictates
how we should live our lives day to day.

For example, if Jesus is correct (I'm choosing him
as an example since it's likely that most people
here are at least somewhat familiar with his
ideas), then we need to accept him as our Savior
and follow certain precepts and a certain lifestyle.

If we can answer that there is no god, then we
need to decide that will guide our morality,
whether we will have an afterlife, etc etc.

That said, I also think that questioning is
exceedingly important. I think that there are
questions that we might not be able to answer
right now, but we can collect possibilities and
weigh which are more likely to reflect reality, etc.
Questioning, wonder, and curiosity are part of
what it is to be a fully alive person.
