I think there are pretty good arguments on both sides of this. And that is not even throwing in the evolution arguments.
It has been really interesting to read everyone's ideas on this.
This topic is one of a few that I tend to never discuss with people at any great depth. Unless I want to spend hours upon hours eyeball deep in passion, anger, and most any other powerful emotion you could imagine. Another such topic is politics.
Anyway..
Do I personally believe in GOD? Yes.
Can I prove God exists? No.
Should it matter? Honestly ... NO.
It quite simply is not for me to decide what someone else should believe.
I heard not too long ago about an alleged discovery of parts of Noah's Ark up in a mountain top. Wish I could remember where I heard that so I could check into it more.
I do remember something about Gopher wood being found (I think that was the right kind of wood that was mentioned) somewhere it had to connection to.
There are so many things that science just can not explain that I believe can be explained by a higher power.
I did like Aquinas' Second Way of proving God existed. It does take a giant step from #4 to #5, but I made it OK. LOL
Descartes, now I think he is still off his rocker. His "proof" would not convince me if I didn't believe.
And I agree with Kant, existence should not be used as a property describing something or someone.
