The above statement makes me feel bad. Do you believe in God because if he does exist you'll get into heaven while me, being the nice person i am (without religion) will spend the rest of eternity in the fiery pits of hell? Do you want nonbelievers to go to hell? I think it's a mean thing to say. Besides, If there were a god, don't you think he'd let me into heaven even though I don't believe in him because I'm trying to good in this lifetime? Can not believing be forgiven?

I don't believe in god and I get up every morning. Life is hard but I've generally felt blessed, maybe if I'd had a more traumatic life I would believe. It IS possible to have morals, compassion, empathy without believing in God. I am totally ignorant on what the bible says because I've never read it. Through conversation with others I have learned of it's prejudice against women. Christians that are also determinists still look both ways before they cross the street. (I borrowed part of previous sentence from something I heard once from somebody) I really feel like I should read the bible if I want to be knowledgeable enough on the subject to argue. It's on my to do pile.
