It may be that after 10 years in prison you
have a greater appreciation for life's
simple pleasures, such as being able to
eat andsleep when you want, go where
you want when you want, use the toilet in
privacy and so on.

But the question is whether 10 years of
suffering and deprivation is worth the
extra appreciation you would receive.

Moreover, since God is omnipoent, it
seems that he could fix the world so that
you'd appreciate things more without
being deprived and having to suffer.
