How are martyrs not healthy people? Unhealthy in what sense? I see martyrs as a complete description of what you mentioned above as "being free from whatever causes their unhappiness". The only exception is that most martyrs are being altruistic in nature and dying for a group cause rather than a sole cause based on hedonism.
