It's hard for me to think of anything to say cause all I can think of at this point is I don't know. Compatiblism seems kind of like a cop out because it does seem like freedom and responsibility go together. But after some thought, the definition of freedom as being able to do what you want, is starting to make sense. If I can't do what I want I definitely feel like my freedom is restricted. But what we want is probably predetermined by what we've come to expect. Like if I can't afford all the groceries i want at the store I get really upset and feel like stealing. Someone else that grew up hungry wouldn't feel as restricted with half my chosen groceries. Because social conditioning has such a huge impact on the person a kid grows up to be I wonder what I would be like if I was born in another country with different parents. But then I guess it couldn't be me if i didn't come from the same biological parents. But what if I was raised catholic? I wonder if i'd be catholic. Am I capable of being catholic?
