A clone would not be "me" because the cell being used does not have my memories or experiences or even body (they have their own that looks like mine). When we reproduce, we take cells from 2 people and create 1, which is a third person. Same thing for cloning less 1. If I wanted immortality I would need to be able to keep all of the same memories and experiences. Which I believe are stored in the brain. Someone with amnesia is still the same person even tho they can't remember it. Possibly with further study science could figure out how to "tap into" those old memories that are hidden away in that brain. I think that life after death could only be possible in the cryonics/cryogenics scenario. I feel that the preservation of the memories and experiences which are stored in the brain is essential. My belief is that our "spirituality" is the same as our "individuality". Two of us may both be present to experience the same exact sunset, but because of they way that my body perceives and the way yours perceives is different, the experience is slightly different and that is what makes the memory individual for each of us.
