I once took a bunch of those energy pills and the product I took contained ephedra. Now we hear a lot about people who have had fatal heart attacks etc from those types of supplements. Looking back now I can say that I am positive that was a near death experience. My reason for saying that is that at the time I really felt like it was “the end” for me. I didn’t see any lights at the end of a tunnel or anything; rather it was a far more sobering experience. I had to submit all that I had in life to death and accept the fact that I could be “going”. What made it a real experience was the peace that I felt as I realized that I could pass away very shortly. I think that stood out to me more than anything, as soon as I submit myself to death I was enveloped in peace. Strange as it may seem it was actually comforting in a way to feel that. I think it more or less a sign of a beginning of something we have yet to experience. The Bible speaks of God and attributes to Him a peace that surpasses all understanding. I believe that peace is part of our transition and is common in most NDE’s.
