Thanks to Jennifer and Prof. for the nice chat notes. I tried joining at 4 but no one was there and there was a note that chat was 8-9 posted at the chat room. So instead of trying again in 10 mins. I waited until 8. Oops! Now with this said. If I were a Determinist, I would believe that that situation was predetermined by fate or whatever and that I am not responsible for my actions. Right? And if I were a Libertarianist I would have to take full responsibility for my actions, because I chose to wait until 8, but I could have tried again at 4:10, 4:20, 4:30 etc. Right? And if I were a Compatiblist I would believe that the notation that I read caused me to wait until 8, yet it was still my choice to do so. Right? Somebody please let me know if I am following all of these terms correctly. I find it hard to know where I stand. If my understanding is correct, I find myself believing most like a Compatiblist. There is no explanation for choosing one certain white dress over another in Determinism. It seems that personal preference is lost there. And Libertarism doesn't allow for the forced big mac by gunpoint. Come on, who is going to choose being shot, maybe to death, maybe to paralysis, over eating a big mac. Albeit, a choice, not really a "free" choice. Please share thoughts. Thanks!
