I was amazed at the NDE texts and thought maybe I should share my own experiences. It's not often that one gets to share such a topic with random people. :) I've had at least 3 NDE's that I can remember: 1 in childhood, 2 as an adult. I'm going to copy and paste parts of the text and then respond accordingly. Hopefully, this is helpful for people creeped out and/or interested by the thought of having an NDE.

Psychological changes:Loss of the fear of death, (i don't fear death, but it is an issue which comes up once in awhile.) more spiritual and less religious, (ditto here!) easily engage in abstract thinking,(i don't think that has changed because of NDE, but it does seem like I am more able to sock up information like a sponge now. My learning curve is much lower.) more philosophical, (same as last comment) can go through various bouts with depression, more generous and charitable than before,(I'd like to think I was always this nice, but that isn't the case. NDE changed that alot. I see people less as products of their environment i.e. stereotypes and just as blank slates of humanity ready to connect with and learn from each other) form expansive concepts of love while at the same time challenged to initiate and maintain satisfying relationships, "inner child" or unresolved issues from childhood tend to surface, less competitive, convinced of a life purpose, rejection of previous limitations in life and "normal" role-playing, (that's me to a T) heightened sensations of taste-touch-texture-smell, increased intuitive/psychic abilities plus the ability to know or "re-live" the future, charismatic, a child-like sense of wonder and joy, (yep!) less stressed, more detached and objective, (very much so) can continue to dissociate or "separate" from the body, (ok, so this one really freaked me out and still kinda does to this day. It usually happens without my permission, but sometimes underlying thought or action can spark an episode where this occurs) easily absorbed ("merge into" whatever is focused on),(I got super tunnel vision much to my dismay sometimes..) hunger for knowledge and learning, highly curious.

Physiological changes:Altered thought-processing (switch from sequential/ selective thinking to clustered thinking: thoughts bunch together/ideas pop up),(This one is a mixed blessing. Somedays it's incredibly helpful to manage my thoughts several at a time and get things done, other days it's like a nursery in my head. It's outta control and i get flustered by not having less than three thoughts happening at once. It's not always like this though. I can switch to single mode thought when I like, but it's those days when i am in multi thought mode and it goes haywire that are the worst)) comfortable with ambiguity, (most days, yes i am. Although some might call it spacey or indecisive. pfft!) heightened intelligence, more creative and inventive, unusual sensitivity to light and sound, (woah. That's a BIG one. I have cycles, if you will, of sensitivity to light and sound. I go through short spurts of wanting nothing but sunshine and loudness. Oft times though, i prefer the quiet or gentle music and darkness suits my mood. I'm pretty sure some of my friends think i'm a vampire at this point. ;) ) substantially more or less energy (even energy surges in body, ofttimes more sexual), (coffee is inadequate to when this happens. The only way i can describe it is a giant hand is pushing me along to get things done. This is irrespective of diet.) reversal of body clock, lower blood pressure, accelerated metabolic and substance absorption rates (decreased tolerance of pharmaceuticals and chemically treated products), (i have unusually high metabolism.)often turn to alternative healthcare treatments,(in the process of that) electrical sensitivity, synesthesia (multiple sensing), increased allergies or sensitivities, can possess ability to heal, a preference for more vegetables and grains (less of meat), (i'm a vegan now) physically younger looking (before and after photos can differ).
