I agree with this to a point. The soul is the subconscious beyond the physical shell and conscious self. Although, I do think that a soul is reborn time and again into a shell sometimes of their choosing and sometimes not. It just depends on the circumstances for their reincarnation. Yes, I agree with the point that the lessons we learn with each lifetime are used enlighten perspective into the next one. I have not yet done past life regression but I have gotten clues into past lives that I have had. I'm going to read some more into this and post again.
