For me, this is a hard topic to post on. I have thought about this topic for days now, read and re-read the material and I am still having trouble figuring out what I want to say. Cryonics is another revolution in abstract biomolecular technology. This isn't just for Star Trek fans anymore. Advances in technology are increasing at an alarming rate, so in all honesty the probability of cryonics does not surprise me.
I truly do not know why someone would want to be cryonically suspended. But then again, people today are pulling out all of the stops to delay the aging process. Botox, facials, oxygen treatments, massage, body wraps, ect... Personally, I would not opt to be cryonically suspended. First off, I'd be dead. I lived my life, it's done and over. Second, there is no guarantee that the suspension would be a success and the chances of having cell damage due to lack of oxygen is still great. From all of my thoughts about cryonics, I could only come up with one thing... If people are so adamant about preserving themselves by being cryonically suspended and cheating death; How could they possibly appreciate life?
