I think that cyonics open another interesting idea to think about. I think there is a lot of moral issues, if they should allow this to go on, or if you should do it in general. After I read about it, I wondered why if they are so close with freezing animals, why the scientists aren't volunteering to do this with themselves.
I was thinking about if I would do this myself, and I couldn't make up my mind. I think it would be neat to come back 10 or 20 years from now,and see my kids grown up with their families. I also would question how that would change their lives, and my view of the world. I am not very spiritual, but that would definitely open that bag of worms... It is very similar to coning, where I question why exactly do we really want to do this? Would it be a good thing if you were dieing of a disease to come back later on when they have a cure? Would you want to or would you still have lost your life (if your life was the one you were living in the year 2003)? I think it is interesting, but I don't think it is something that we should be dumping all of this money into. Maybe finding that cure would be a better option.
