It isn't crazy at all. People make up modern society and society as a whole is what determines what is acceptable behavior and what isn't. 200 years ago it was acceptable behavior to bury your dead relatives somewhere on your property. In todays society, that is against the law to defile human remains. Who is to say that in 100 years or so, it will be against the law to to be buried in the earth or cremated, which by normal standards today are perfectly acceptable. Times they are a changing....
