That is an excellent point. If not for modern medicine, the life expectancy at this point might be as it was when Henry VIII was alive (about 30 years of age or so). Avid believers in God might assume that everything is based on the will of God; that is, science (i.e. cyronics and modern medicine) are things that God granted to mankind to find out on his own.

Another point is suicide. Many people believe that it is against God to take your own life, but perhaps this from of Death is really just another way for God to bring about death. Perhaps those behind modern medicine and cryonics are "playing God", based on what the higher power wants.

It's a tough topic that could be discussed for days on end.
