Philosophy is in essence the search for the knowledge of knowledge. It is for this reason that I can not figure out why philosophers have routinely made religion and souls a focus of their studies. It seems to me that before you can even explore the question of how your soul and body interact, you have to ask yourself is their really a god?? and if their isn't a god, well then do you still have a soul?? The fundamental question of wether their is a god or not is continually skipped over. From a philosophers point of view I think that it would be difficult to believe in god as well as souls because the have never been proven or physically experienced by any reliable source.
