I find it disturbing that humans want to play "God". I do not believe our "spirit" would be suspended while in the frozen state, so therefore think if the body is revived, it would only be a body, in a vegitative state with no spirit.

It opens questions of who could afford it, and who would the experiments be preformed on...probably those who have to money. How long is too long to be in this state? If the person is revived, would he/she be able to have any quality of life? I think we should leave things alone.

The articles on Near Death Experiences were interesting. Yes I do think these experiences are veridical, there are too many reports for it to be other wise. Too many similarities. I have heard that hallucinations are distorted and do not make sense. These accounts of NDE are pretty clear and do seem real. It is interesting that after one of these experiences, the person is a better person for it.

I do not believe an experiment could be developed to confirm or disconfirm the hypotheses of life after death....I do not think a NDE could be induced. I also believe as stated in the articles, that these experiences prove a life after death.

Question: I did not find a date as to when the research in NDE started, does anyone have that date?
