Interesting reading. I was one of the common uniformed. I knew very little about this subject. I had no idea people were signing up for this with insurance policy’s nor that they had nearly as much interest and progress or business’s for that matter in this area. What I’m most amazed with is how we as humans can normalize things so quickly. I went into this reading with more of the sci-fi mindset, and by the end found myself being partially persuaded. I do know however, that I would not be interested in being their guinea pig, I would feel differently if they were highly skilled in this area, before I signed up.
I was shocked to read about the "neuro” option. And I do find the question of identity fascinating with regards to all of this. Is there then really a soul? Where does it go and whose comes back? I cant’ believe you can freeze a soul. So this is all mind boggling to me and really makes me think in ways I haven’t’ yet thought. I believe some where along the line I read by one of our classmates or from another reading that the body enables us to experience the source of life, that we are not separate from the source, this then would make sense to me that we don’t have separate souls. Our entity is all one. This would make sense to me. I do not believe our individual soul would suspend itself indefinitely. Therefore with regards to identity, another classmate quoted the Buddha as saying something along the lines that we as humans are not acting out our individuality, we are acting out the world as we see it. I apologize if I have that all wrong, this is obviously not a quote. I don’t find these new ways of thinking disturbing at all. In fact I quite enjoy the idea.
