I'm sorry, Melinda, but do you mean to say that people in hiring positions don't on some level take appearance into account when making hiring decisions? I mean, in an idealistic (common language use, not to imply believing that everything is mental) world... in a perfect world, people would be hired based on ability. In the real world, people are hired based on personality and looks. Or, that's my cynical view of things.
