personal identity:
Comparing the views of Hume and Kornfield and
Dass:
Kornfield stated, ". . .he(the Buddha) described us
as a collection of perceptions, of responses, and
the flow of consciousness that experiences them
all." And Hume says, "that what we call a person
or self is really just a bundle of perceptions
related in certain ways."
So, it seems to me that their views on personal
identity are very similar. Did anyone find anything
different?
