But in order to find that 'identity' one must be given a label to 'identify' with. We can be sweet, compassionate, intelligent, and obese. Which one of those characteristics in this modern society would be the base of one's 'identity'? Our identities are largely based on not just what we think of ourselves or our personal character traits, but what others think of us as well.
