Okay, here goes...
From what I get from the readings, Socrates and Buddha have similar philosophies. Socrates believes that we should all claim ignorance to keep our minds open and willing to think things through in different views. Buddha also thinks that we should not limit ourselves with labels, but to view things as a whole, not separate. To get along in life, not just philosophy, these are great ways of life. I agree with their ideas, just not to the extent that they do. Life is about moderation, I believe, and they were definite radicals of their time.
Does this sound off the wall? I'm still trying to get used to thinking this hard about life and the meaning of this class.
