Third times a charm, I will now try to post my 3rd response to chapter 4. By this time I will make it short and sweet. I’ve lost two postings because I was trying to type on the webboard, and I was loosing my connection and then my post. Someone advised me to type in word and then copy and paste.
I was overwhelmed by chapter 4. First of all I do not like to have to memorize anything. And there were too many segments and categories to remember and understand. I have come to believe that the truth is the truth weather we know it or not, and I’ve come to terms with the fact that I will not know the truth in this lifetime. And what we as humans do discover or “believe” we discover is not necessarily the truth or relevant to the questions worth asking. And so for me personally, after reading on Monism, Pluralism, Nihillism, Materialistic Monism, Behaviorism, (hard soft logical ) and the mind brain identity theory, I would say unless I can be sure of what the bats experience is, and unless I know that the bats concerns are cohesive with mine as a human being then I must say that I’m not convinced that any of the above can warrant a lifelong pursuit of query, because I don’t believe such questions can be answered, and I’m not sure that they are the questions worth examining. They are how ever fun to ask
