After giving the matter some
consideration, I've decided to move the
beginning of the Exam date to Monday.
The new exam dates will be:

Mon 2/3 to Fri 2/7. Remeber that the lab
closes early, at 5PM Friday.

Email me privately if this presents a
problem for you and we can work
something out.

A number of factors went into this
decision: Lingering uncertainty about the
stability of the server, problems getting
texts, and the total amount of downtime
thus far in the course, and having time to
do a study session where every student
has a chance to participate before taking
the exam. There is also some material I
have not yet posted on Personal Identity,
which I would like to keep on the exam. I
want students to do well and don't want
anyone taking the exam who is
insufficiently prepared.

The study session will be held some time
over the weekend via IRC (internet-relay
chat). We may have to use a public
server, as I believe the chat function on
our server may be turned off for security
reasons. Would Saturday or Sunday
afternoon be best?
