Good for you Nathan. Makes you 1 step closer to selflessness. But for many - just comfortable. I agree with Jennifer that we all affect each other (at least those that we come into contact with). This explanation of what Buddha is saying makes sense to me. If he were, literally, saying each of us is simply one hair on the body, well that is too far fetch for me. I tend to look at things in "good" or "bad" and not all those other boxes (although upbringing still rears her ugly head time and again). I parenthesize "good" and "bad" because, this again, may be relative. It's usually a gut feeling for me. Whenever "evil" pops up, I am always trying to find "good". Sometimes it's just not there.
