I would agree on the "knowledge of feeling" point. Animals have the capacity to feel all sorts of sensation, and in that, they may predetermine when that sensation is nigh. That is to say, they may know how to avoid a dangerous situation which would afflict them painful sensations like bites, scrapes, and other fight wounds. It's the same with humans and the stove example in the book. We are connected to our bodies, otherwise we wouldn't feel pain and then learn from those sensations which we feel. However, i don't think they have the capacity to learn things the way we do. Their knowledge is strictly limited to nature and how they perceive it and interact with it. I don't see any dogs taking PHL 203 and retaining knowledge from it...yet. :)
