I really like the analogy of the hairs. Separate and very individual, but intrinsically connected.
My thoughts on the "and...and...and" are really quite simple. That if you stay with in the dualistic concept of either/or than you are limiting everything around you. If you can break out of that and say "we can do both those things, and...." and....so on. From my observations, Americans really think mostly in an either/or modality and don't break out very often. Once you start to break out you start to see how limitless and how connected the options really are.
