A couple of things that I thought about in this chapter were:
A neurological disorder called synesthesia, which is when the sense begin to cross over. Some people taste the color orange, or see the patterns in music, or feel the way glitter sparkles. I know this because I am one of these people. As such, my take on reality is very different than other takes on reality....but there is no clear way to make any distinction between what is "real" because what is real for one person is completely off the wall an un-real for the next person. (That thought is a little scattered...when I refine it, I will let you know).
The next bit that had me playing around in my mind came from pg. 148, about Beethoven and thinking about music. We hear music...our senses perceive it as real...we can see the instruments, the sheet music, and so on...but the music its self? It is pure sensation. So I guess, as I understand it, that I have more of a pluralist perspective...but I also think that it is not an either/or....probably more like a both/and...and...and...
