This chapter was too long! There was a lot of information, this is my first philosophy and I am feeling a bit over whelmed. Pluralism sounds interesting (If I am understanding it correctly), that "reality is composed of many different kinds of real things." My reality may be different then yours. My reality is also based on lifes experiences and my knowledge or lack of.

Descartes's view of the mind and body being able to exist without the other is interesting. At first I did not agree, but looking at it from different points of view, I can see where he would explore this idea. I do not think we could voluntarily separate our minds and bodies, but I do believe in our spirits (souls) leaving our bodies at death and living on in eternity. I suppose that reality of mine would disagree with other's reality. That is also my belief,which in all reality, could be based on myth or on a Bible that has been altered over the years, in that case, my reality may not be real at all. hmmmm interesting
